I am taking part in Emunah's "Share Your Simcha" scheme to raise money for Emunah's Sarah Herzog Children's Centre in Afula. Once a year, Emunah organise a grand communal Bar/Bat mitzvah celebration, for all the 12/13 year olds in their care. By sponsoring me you will be helping these young people celebrate a very special day to remember and a chance for a better life and a happier future.
I would like to go to Israel and swim the Kinneret, but as I can't go there now I am going to swim the distance here in Bushey.
So how big is the Kinneret?
It's 12km across (at the widest part)which is 480 lengths in the pool. I will keep you up to date with my progress.

UPDATES
10th July I have taken the plunge and did 60 lengths. I think it is warmer in Tiveria!
17th July: Another 60 lengths today!! Altogther thats 120 lengths which is the equivalent of 3k!!!
24th July: 50 lengths 26th July 20 lengths making a total of 190 lengths or 4.75km
31st July 50 lengths total 240 lengths = 6 km.
HALF WAY THERE !! I can see the other side!
12 August: 60 Lengths= 300 only got 180 lengths left!!!!!!!!!!! :)
14th August:13 lengths at Auty Rita and Uncle Stanley's = 225 more metres thank you for your hospitality Aunty Rita & Uncle Stanley what a nice pool!
22nd August: 60 lengths= 369 in total
23rd August another 60 today 429 just 51 more to do tomorrow!
24th August: The last 51.
I reached the other side of the Kinnert today!!!!!!!!!
I HAVE REACHED MY TARGET OVER THE LAST 6 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!! :) :)
