York is a first-class university with first-class students. It is our priority to ensure that the benefits of our education are available to all, no matter what their background.

With your help we aim to raise £20,000 for two important causes associated with the University which will ensure that support is there for more students.

• hieving Excellence Bursaries enable students from lower income families to get the most out of their time at York, supporting them financially as they undertake their degree.
• The University of York Sports Scholarship Scheme aims to help athletes combine their academic work and sporting aspirations. Last year 23 athletes from a range of disciplines received modest extra support ranging from purchase of key equipment, to coaching, competition travel fees to enable them to develop their potential.
