Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On April 30th 2011 I aim to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Race.
Its a mere 24miles with approx 5000ft of ascent!!!!
This will be the hardest race I have ever taken part in, and I have seriously dithered about over the last couple of years whether to even enter or not.
By taking part in this event I want to raise as much as possible for queenscourt Hospice in Southport in memory of Kathryn Curran.
Kathryn first joined my running club (Parbold Pink Panthers) about 3 years ago. She was always proud to wear her pink panther top and she was always a pleasure to run with. Kathryn was one of lifes little gems, always smiling and feisty even when faced with the diagnosis of breast cancer. Following many months of treatment, during which Kathryn ran when she could. Kathryn was determined to complete the Great North Run which was an incredible fete given everything she had been through. In doing so she raised a vast sum of money for charity.
Tragically the cancer took hold once again, and claimed the life of this lovely young mum of 3. We all miss her. She was an inspiration to us all,
Kathryn spent her last few weeks at Queenscourt Hospice in Southport and it is following her wishes that this is the charity I've chosen to raise money for.
