Story

'The athletic event of the century' - Time Magazine

Willen Hospice is a charity which provides specialist palliative care and support for families. I used to volunteer there back in 2007 before I moved to London and was awed by their tireless efforts to provide all kinds of support to people who need it most. The hospice receives the majority of its funding from voluntary sources, so your donation can make a difference!

I'm not the most naturally athletic of people but it's a fantastic cause and I've been training hard for a good few months now with two more to go. Nothing says 'cardiovascular fitness' like shin splints screaming in the pouring rain while Robbie Williams pounds out through your earphones.

Here's the boring bit:

'Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.'

So please dig deep - insane cause, great idea, the high likelihood of me making a fool out of myself... what's not to like?
