For those of you that know me, know that i have been blessed in the past to visit Syria four times. I recently started thinking about the lovely people i met on my travels and how their lives have been turned upside down.

I am not interested in the politics surrounding Syria but i am interested in the state of the women and children who are suffering.

I made a promise of trying to live on £1 a day and i need to clarify myself. I travel 2 hours to work everyday and another 2 for getting home again. In those 4 hours alone, i spend more than the daily amount Syrian refugees have to live on. My promise is to survive on what i have at home already ( pasta, beans, tuna), cut out my weekly treats ( no sweets), no costa coffees, nothing!

Where i can save on bus fare my walking, i will do and i shall curb my weekly shop at £7 which stands at £1 a day.
