Lesotho is a rural country and is also one of the most poorest countries in the world. Women have low life expectancies and children do not many educational opportunities. AIDS is also one of the biggest problems here and so this means Lesotho women are often caring for children and orphans. Women spend hours of the day cooking over an open fire, which contribute to their low life expectancy and also causes environmental issues. 

Wonderbags are eco-friendly slow cookers which only require the Lesotho women to cook over an open fire for a short period of time, whilst the wonder bag cooks the rest. Through the use of Wonderbags, women will be burning 80% less firewood and also saves hours of their time. This means they have more time to access education and paid work as well. Children who are involved in this will have the opportunity to go to school instead of helping the women with cooking.
