ZamCog was established in 2004 to help fund and support two Zambian schools: Shitima Community School in Kabwe and St. Francis Secondary School in Malole.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Zamcog's JustGiving page.

Zamcog was established in 2004 to help the orphans, street kids and underprivileged children of Zambia have hope for a better future by providing education, food, housing, medical care and a supportive community.  Currently approximately 220 children are enrolled at Shitima Community School in Kabwe which is a non-fee paying school funded entirely by the generous supporters of Zamcog.  Approximately 90 of these children live at the school either because they are orphans or their families cannot afford to keep them at home and they would be living on the streets. Zamcog also provides support to St. Francis Secondary School in Malole and helps fund several other local Kabwe support groups such as Sables, a drop-in center for street kids.

Our current Monthly Operating Budget is around £8,000, or £40/child per month to feed, cloth, educate, pay for medical care, etc.  We continue to expand the school and dormitories so there are always additional capital needs. Each school term we turn away literally hundreds of children who have no other alternative.  Please help us to do more so that we can educate and empower the next generation of Zambians to help themselves!
