We are dealing with a crisis in what the UN describes as a ‘complete meltdown of humanity’. Penny Appeal is on ground now in Idlib just 40 miles from Aleppo, where our teams are distributing lifesaving aid to thousands of people. We’re responding with clothing for children, food packs, shelter, beddings, blankets, stoves and more keeping children and families warm and fed.

Around the world hundreds of thousands of people will go to bed cold and hungry every day. As temperatures plummet and winter sets in, the situation is becoming more and more critical. Faced with freezing conditions and little food to sustain them, even simple tasks take huge effort and use up valuable energy.

We have to do something. That is why #TeamOrange is committing to raise £100,000 throughout December and January to feed those struggling to survive this winter. A £50 food pack can feed a family of six for an entire month – that means we could give 12,000 people regular, nourishing meals
