Story
So the story goes like this...8 crazy heads decided that
they would like to help with research in a rare skin condition called
Pachyonychia Congenita. However, since none of us is a genetic engineer or genius,
we thought money could be quite helpful. So we decided to challenge ourselves
with a bike ride from the bottom of England (London) to the top of Scotland
(Edinburgh)-a mere 500 miles (804 km), which means cycling 100 miles a day, as
well as fighting the hills and winds of Scotland.
I have decided that a bicycle with basket on front would not be appropriate but
this is as far as my strategy goes. I am always out on the roads running
but cycling such great distance is new to me so I feel a bit scared but also
super excited and looking forward to this challenge. I hope you can support me
to reach my fundraising target, give me courage to reach the cobbles of
Edinburgh and hopefully the story will finish with ...they lived happily ever
after.
Have a look at the links below to find out a little more.
In case you're wondering, the donation is to the PC Project UK, but it is processed through the University of Dundee as the PC Project saves money by using the University's charitable status.
If you like to know a little more about what stands behind the condition with the unpronounceable name (Pachyonychia Congenita), have a look at these websites:

Or if you are already bored of reading I have summerised it below,
Imagine the pain from a glass in your foot,
...now imagine hundreds of them-this is PC.
