Step Up 2017 · 16 January 2017

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Our Team is ready steady go!!, with Lou Short, Sorrell North, Pam Seefus, Damion Johnstone, Sadie Rich and me Zoe Crawford all ready  for the big trek across the miles. We need your support, your donations will act as the food to fuel us on our journey to be crowned the Step Up Challenge winners...

The beginning of a new year is traditionally a time to start afresh, get fit and blow away the cobwebs. Building on the success of last year’s Step Challenge -which raised an incredible £58,000 for The Prince’s Trust- we are pleased to introduce Step Up! This year sees the introduction of some new elements of the challenge for 2017.

Last year, almost 200 teams (with around 1,170 participants) took part, walking a total of 273 million steps. Now the bar has been set, we would like to above and beyond with Step Up and ask for your support.

The details

The core of the challenge remains based in the UK: a virtual walk (or run) between Capita offices – from London to Cardiff to Belfast to Stirling. This route is approximately 630 miles, which is around 1,260,000 steps; and can be achieved with roughly 10,000 steps a day for each team member participating.

Step Up will run from Monday 16th January to Friday 10th February, with all funds raised being donated to our corporate charity partner, The Prince’s Trust.
