Sonny was born on the 21st November 2008 and had various complications. Unfortunatley he had to have an emergency blood transfusion and then after we initially thought he was recovering well,but he then went into cardiac failure. The neo-natal team at North Staffs were fantasic and the care Sonny received was amazing. He in turn was transfered to Alderhay Childrens Hospital in Liverpool where he stayed in their Intensive Care unit to start his long recovery.

We could only ever say thank you and we said it so many times to every single person at North Staffs and at Liverpool who helped Sonny and our family so much.

My dearest friend is also running the Potteries Half Marathon. Emma too has a history with North Staffs Neo -natal unit and has her own reasons to help raise awareness and raise much needed funds for them. Also another close friend is running it with us as well so id like to thank her. (You know who you are Mrs Wilby!)

Please help us raise funds for the North Staffordhire University Hospital- Neo Natal Intensive Care by making a donation. It would help so much, not only the very poorly children that are treated there but also their families.
