Royal Parks Half Marathon 2010 · 10 October 2010 ·

Help a Capital Child is proud to announce its new name: Make Some Noise – we will help disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Thanks to your support, we have grown over the years and we will continue to help those affected by illness, disability, bereavement or lack of opportunity.

Story

Since running the London Marathon in April I haven't been running that often, have eaten a few too many burgers and hence have piled on the pounds...please see my photo! I'm definitely not looking as healthy as I was! I have therefore signed myself and 70 of of my colleagues at Gourmet Burger Kitchen up to run in the Royal Parks Hallf marathon in October.

Im trying to be good limiting myself to one Gourmet Burger a week, one Oreo milkshake and some large fries (as we have stopped selling the smaller portion).

The advantage of running the Royal Parks Half Marathon is that I will
1. Lose weight
2. Limit my weekly intake of burgers
3. But most importantly be raising money for Help a London Child - to providing financial support to grass roots projects for London's less advantaged children.

Please help me raise £395 by October.

AND if you want a great burger deal whilst also supporting Help A London Child then visit www.capitalfm.com/charity/gbk/ and download your voucher. Take it in to your local GBK and get a burger for £1 (which is donated to Help a London Child) when you buy one other main course burger or salad.....YUMMMYYY!! We aim to raise £100,000 over the next year!
