A Shafi is raising money for Penny Appeal
Story
Hello people I will be taking part in the Coventry Half Marathon this year on the 28 February 2016 for the PennyAppeal Refugee Emergency.
With thousands of displaced families travelling across the Middle East and into Europe, the refugee crisis continues to escalate. More than 744,000 refugees are estimated to have travelled to Europe by sea so far this year, with thousands arriving from across the Mediterranean Sea every single day.Without food, clothing or shelter, those who survive the perilous crossing then face another battle against hunger, exposure and disease.The majority of refugees crossing the Mediterranean Sea are fleeing from ongoing conflict in Syria. Many people from other countries, such as Afghanistan, Eritrea and Iraq are also looking to escape violence, discrimination and poverty in their homeland.
