Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  We’re fundraising to create a sacred grove in Avalon, in a small but beautiful privately-owned field right on the slopes of Glastonbury Tor.  It’ll be formed of a circle of twenty-four trees, mostly Apple, with Rowan marking the four entrances and Oak standing as guardians around the space.  Aromatic herbs on the ground and evergreen plants  all around will give atmosphere and privacy.  It’s still a mystery what will go in the centre - perhaps a small pool, perhaps a fire dish: it’ll become clear as the project unfolds. 

Work has already started -  have a look at the list of fruit trees we've ordered in the images opposite - and the trees are on track to be planted this Autumn.  Once complete the Grove will be available (by donation) for use by individuals or small groups.  We’re confident it will be a beautiful space, in a very special and very magical location.  Offers of help with the physical work would be very welcome - but especially we’re inviting contributions towards the cost, which we estimate at around £1,000, maybe a bit more.  Apple trees cost around £40, Rowans £30 but all contributions very welcome!  Please feel free to specify what kind of tree you'd like to sponsor, we'll make sure your wishes are honoured.

The fundraising is being channelled through Buddhafield, a Buddhist charity to which the field and Grove will be bequeathed in the long run.  For progress updates check our Facebook pages.
