Hi,

      My names Rachael and  I am raising money for the royal national lifeboat institiution so they can continue to save lives.

Those of you who know me might say that I'm a bit crazy and up for trying almost anything if its for a good cause. So to raise money for the R.N.L.I. (Royal National Lifeboat Institute)I will be taking the dracula drop challenge on the 26th of april.

This will include me bungee jumping off whitby peer. If your in the area why not come along and watch what proves to be a great day out.

ok so trying to raise money isn't a easy as i first thought it might be.I really appreciated the support so far though and hope that I will gain more support and sponsors as i approach the event.

atleast I have kick started my campaign to raise money though by setting up this site which i think is fantastic because im awful when it comes to computers.andit is available to people on the internet. ie more publicity.

im going to be brave tomorow and and go to speek with stephany price and have my photo taken to put in the scarbouragh evening news. Im usually quite shy/timid so I would say this is my fourth challenge as part of theoverall dracula drop challenge the first being signing up, the second persuading my parents to let me take part and the third setting up this website.

i have a few more ideas up my sleeve on what else to try to raise funds and awarness but i will have to keep you posted and you will have to keep visiting my site to see how i progress.

    It went ok yesterday. I think! but knowing me I probably look a right prat in my pictures. i feal quite sad because nobody has sponsored me online yet so my page looks quite empty. although people have made pledges offline i can only add the money collected to the site. I have no idea when the pictures are going to be in the paper becuase I forgot to ask. its a great ploy though to encourage you to buy the paper. When I get a copy of the article I will try and put it up online.I wish the actually page would show how many people have visited the site like on bebo it shows the latest number of visits to a page. I know that 10 people have been on my site so far today but thats it. now im off to be sad and read a comic about penguins at www.funbrain.com.

hi i know i said id write regularly but its harder than it seams. i have just spent an hour writing individual thank you letters to to people who have sponsored me so far.

nothing to do with fundraising but im quite pleased we have a dog now a spanial/border collie called patients. we got her from the dogs trust and were allowed to collect her yesterday. she's soooo sweet but quite timid. i dont think im doing too badly on sponsors either i have collected £87 pounds so far. and would just like to thank those people who know who they are. and I have another few pledges for about £15 pounds. considering my friends can only afford to sponsor me £2 each im quite impressed I have to raise a minimum of £100 pounds to do the jump but i actually want to raise £300 pounds so the charity gets extra help. i would really really like to raise £1000 pounds but i dont think it will happen £300 is a more realistic goal.

yesterday i spent an hour updating my blog but it didn't save so i was quite upset.

so today ill keep it short. I have raised £102 so far and am looking forward to the beach party on friday night.

we took patience for a walk on the beach today and let her off the lead I think she qutie enjoyed it. I have to think of more ways to raise money and a quicker way to write thank you letters by hand.

monday 25/02.08

i think im being quite good and updating my site everyday. it says a few people have visited but i still dont have any online sponsors.

I saw my picture in the paper yesterday and I think it is actually quite good considering I take rubbish photos.

 ok that colour doesnt really work. ive been buisy all week and so haven't had a chance to update my page. I have now raised £ 107 pounds offline. today is the last day of febuary. a friday. im so glad its friday. it means once ive taken patience for a walk tomorow I can go back to bed. or atleast I could if i was that kind of person. instead I will probably spend an extra hour in be getting up at 7.30 instead of 6.30 take patience for a walk for an hour then practice my meditation. ill make mum and dad a cup of tea have some breakfast and then get on with my cousework which i can hopefully finish by lunch. after lunch I'll take patience for another walk probably to the beach(although she hates the sea) and then go home to tidy my bedroom(yet again) and cleen the house.I was supposed to be going to a party today but its absolutely pouring it down outside so it might be cancelled. just because im sure your wondering why i'll tell you. the partys on the beach we were going to collect driftwood and light a fire. even though i have to be home for 9.30/21.30 it would be nice to go for 2 hours and even nicer to be invited.

Rag week entries have to be in today.

I havent updated my page for a while because i've been biusy organising Rag Week with my team and I have also been off college ill.

I was checking how much Ive Raised so far and have come to the total of £102 pound which really doesnt make sense when you add on all the money I have Raised since I last updated my total then I realised I had been adding on the money people still owe me. which when you consider it as more that £50.00 can really throw the balance. nobody has sponsored me online yet which is a bit no a lot depressing but I hope by writing about lots of different things this sight might get noticed by google.

for those of you who dont already know RAG week stands for Raise And Give week so I am Raing money And Giving it to the R.N.L.I. as part of the money I rasie for my jump two birds one stone.

actually I have just realised i have £104 pounds because mum owes me £2.00 from heidi taking my total to £104

For RAG week My Team and I are going to wear R.N.L.I. T-shirts and Dress up as pirates. It should be fun.  We'll go around with buckets sell cakes and play guess where the lifeboat will find the survivor.
