It's that time of the year again, so here I am - sucker for punishment!!
Many thanks to those of you that sponsored me last year, my chosen charity was Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. If sponsoring me this year, my thanks again for your kind generosity, and my chosen charity is the Newcastle upon Tyne Dog, Cat & Animal Shelter. To those of you who are visiting my web page for the first time, I really appreciate you taking the time to do so and hope you can dig deep and sponsor me online.

It is thanks to kind support such as yours, that the Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter has been able to continue with the good work they do, since 1896, for the stray, neglected, injured and abandoned animals throughout the North East. Over 3,000 animals per year are received, which all need help in some way, whether it’s to reunite them with their owner, find a suitable new home or provide veterinary treatment. Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter spend over £40,000 per year on veterinary treatment, that’s without taking into account staff time and the special aftercare needed. Between two shelters, Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter can hold up to 250 dogs and 200 cats and at present are full with animals looking for loving homes, please see the dog and cat galleries for some of the animals currently in care or come and visit, the Shelter url is below.

Well, that's the GNR over now for another year. It was a great day with beautiful weather (too warm and sunny for me!), huge crowds and brilliant atmosphere.
It was a struggle this year (see my pic!) as my training had not gone to plan, so although my time was slow I am not too disappointed and just glad I finished under 3 hours!
The support and sponsorship that I have received from friends, family and colleagues has been fantastic. I am really pleased at my fundraising total to date and hope to add to the total before my page expires.
