Behçet's (pronounced Bet-jets) is a rare, complex and life-long condition caused by disturbances in the body's immune system. Behçet's can affect people of any age, but it most common in those aged 20-40. The society runs a helpline, funds research, and offers financial support for patients in need.

Hello! Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. To raise money and celebrate the Behçet’s Syndrome Society’s 25th anniversary Nic, Soph and Nat will be throwing themselves off a 100ft viaduct - well OK abseiling down!

It’s happening on Sunday 21st June at 11am so we’re asking all you lovely, generous people to help us by donating whatever you can. Behçet’s Syndrome Society is a small organisation with limited expenditure so we’d appreciate any donation, however small.

Behçet’s Syndrome is a rare, chronic, lifelong disorder that involves inflammation of blood vessels throughout the body. The charity was established in 1983 and represents Behçets patients and carers.

Monsal Head Viaduct in Derbyshire, measures 100 yards across with five magnificent arches, it was built in Victorian times as a railway bridge. It’s now used as a cycleway and footpath and is listed as a site of architectural and historical interest.
