Story
As part of The Prince’s Trust ‘Million Maker’s Challenge’, on 6th November 2019, I will be part of a swimming relay team attempting to swim the length of the English Channel at 32km (21 miles).
I, alongside my team, will be swimming simultaneously along with our fellow ENGIE employees across 3 different venues, with the aim to see how many times we can cross the channel to France and back! My personal challenge is to swim at least 90 lengths of the 50 metre pool at the Olympic Park’s London Aquatics Centre, which is just over 2 miles (and maybe more if I channel my inner Sarah Thomas…!)
All donations will be going to The Prince's Trust, one of ENGIE's chosen charities, who change the lives of thousands of young people for the better every year & every donation will make a difference:
- £5 could pay for a reading module towards an English qualification for one young person
- £10 could teach a young person how to manage their money with a day-long budgeting session
- £20 could help an isolated young person travel to a two-week course that will help them stabilise their life
- £50 could ensure a young person can travel to work in the month before their first pay-cheque
- £100 could fund a two-hour session teaching a young person how to cook nutritious meals for themselves and their families
Your support is greatly appreciated, and I will keep you updated on how I get on!
Thank you,
Abby
