Hi

My name is Abdullah Patel. I am running the half marathon at Heaton Park in Manchester on the 14th of March (SEE UPDATE), in collaboration with Benefit Mankind.

My aim is to raise money for those who have been affected by Covid 19. People in our community as well as the rest of the U.K. are facing pressures and hardships, with many facing unemployment, starvation and homelessness. Seeing the efforts of Benefit Mankind in our own community inspired me to get involved.

This pandemic has affected so many with individuals and families struggling physically, mentally and financially. I hope the money raised through this charitable event will go some way into easing the burden on those who are struggling to get through their day to day struggles.

Your donation can make a huge difference to the lives of many of those affected by this pandemic with your donations going directly towards providing everything from hot food to blankets.

DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS, THE RUN WILL NO LONGER TAKE PLACE AT HEATON PARK. INSTEAD, I WILL RUN THE EQUIVALENT DISTANCE (13.1 MILES) LOCALLY ON THE SAME DATE AND TIME
