At The Seafarers’ Charity, we’ve been improving the lives of seafarers and their families for over 106 years. We started as the King George’s Fund for Sailors, providing vital assistance in troubled times. Today, we’re guided by the same powerful vision.

Story

On the weekend of the 17/18th July, a team from ABP Short Sea will be competing in the tortuous 24 peaks challenge in support of the Seafarers UK charity.

The team challenge is to climb 24 peaks in the Lake District, all over 2,400 ft, within 24 hours. In total we will be climbing half the ascent of Mount Everest. The Seafarers UK charity (www.Seafarers-uk.org) is a national charity that fundraises and give grants to organisations that help and support seafarers from the Royal Navy, Royal Mariners, Merchant Navy or fishing fleet and their families.
