Makoko community is densely populated of over 150,000 people. It is a growing slum of stills in Nigeria sprawling commercial city of Lagos. It is located in Yaba, Local Govt. Area of Lagos state. Majority live a ghetto kind of life style. a lot of sexual violence & rape, malaria,and tuberculourses goes on in this rough community with resultant teenage pregnancies and abandoned babies most of who have ended up in Motherless babies home.
Absmat & Ayoakins focus on youth 's future. We offers range of health awareness services, education, job skills training and income-generating activities in the community. We empower orphaned, street children and youth.
Our services is also dedicated to help transform the lives of many disdadvantaged and less-priviledged young people through various training and motivational projects e.g. after school club and recreation ,raising awareness on rape, teenage pregnancy/dating violence prevention, HIV/AIDS awareness & prevention , Beads/adire making, tailoring/designing and ICT soon. all will be delivered by field specialist in language that young people and families can understand.
