Age UK is the new force combining Age Concern and Help the Aged We believe that age needs respect. It needs kindness. Sometimes it needs help. Too many people experience difficulties as they age. We cannot promise everyone good health, but we will fight for good care for all of us. Where we find loneliness, we will reach out. When age becomes a burden, we will try to lighten the load. Age UK will campaign. We will fundraise. We will research. We will make the powers that be listen. We will do all this to make life better for older people here and abroad. Age UK is for all of us, because age is a part of life.

It's an unpalatable truth that in this country many older people are not treated with the dignity they deserve‚ and are often left isolated from their community. Age Concern believes this is not acceptable.

The money I raise with your help will help to improve the quality of life of many lonely older people.

£5 could pay for a hot meal at a lunch club providing vital companionship
£10 could pay for an older person to take part in a social activity such as an exercise class or a group outing
£1000 could provide an isolated older person with a befriender visit once a week for an entire year - a vital lifeline for many older people
