On the 31st March we are putting on a 'Celebration of Cinema' night, at the Last Days of Decadence, Shoreditch High Street. All money raised will go towards MediCinema, a free cinema in St Thomas' hospital, for the hospital's in-patients and their families.
To get on the guest list and avoid the queue, please donate a minimum of £8 on this page. Please add your name, plus the names of any other guests that you are also donating for, to ensure that all your names are added to the list! Places are limited, so please do not forget and do it soon. Priority will be given to those who make the minimum donation or above.
Please join us at this artsy little speakeasy at 7pm for a piano reception, courtesy of Victoria Cran. We are delighted to announce that performing downstairs from 8pm will be Adam Gardener, Gif Mec Hild Nime 5000AD and Honeytrap. Dave Harbour plus guests will be DJing until late.
On the ground floor, we will have screenings of several short films, from FutureShorts. We will also be having a lovely little raffle!
Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you on the night!
Nicola and Viv xx A little more about MediCinema: MediCinema is a registered charity that has formed a unique partnership with the Health Sector and Film Industry. MediCinema installs on-site cinemas in hospitals with big screen, surround sound, tiered seating and nurses instead of usherettes. Through the magic that is cinema, MediCinema enriches the quality of life for patients, young and old, including those in beds and wheelchairs, by transporting them and their families far away from the reality of their hospital life and allowing them, just for a couple of hours, to be somewhere else. MediCinema brings therapeutic benefits and cheers patients’ spirits by regularly screening current releases in the all encompassing environment of a state-of-the-art cinema. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
