About our charity : War Child War Child
War Child is an international child protection agency that works with the most marginalised children - child soldiers, street kids and children in prison - in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. War Child believes it is unacceptable that children continue to be victims of war. 66% of people who die in conflict are children. In the last decade alone 1.5 million children have died in wars. Four million have been disabled and a further 10 million traumatised. We provide vital, on the ground support programmes in each of the conflict zones we work in but also lobby politicians and governments to ensure our cause and the rights of children affected by war remains high on the public and political agendas. This approach allows us to ensure every pound we receive goes as far as possible - not only to the crucial projects in the field, but to ensuring children caught up in conflict, no matter where they may be, have a chance to be protected. We work where other agencies do not, reaching the most at risk children in the most dangerous war zones and your support means we can continue to do so. War Child looks forward to a world in which war is not prosecuted on children.

HELLO!

Thank you for visiting the fundraising page for "ACHILLES WHEEL", the greatest chariot of the Dumball Odyssey! I'm sure you all know about the Dumball now, If not you can read all about it on dumball.org. So here we go again, last year we drove to Istanbul in a banger...this time to Corfu in a Volvo - and we're raising money for War Child: A VERY worthy cause at the moment. Please sponsor us big time cause we want to raise a grand! Thank you thank you thank you! Jess, Michelle and Max xxx We want what all Dumballers want, we just want it more......

UPDATE!

So we made it!! All 2000 miles through Belgium, Liechtenstein, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Austria again, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Croatia again, Macedonia, Albania and finally Greece, all in Our Ovlov and only losing our speedo along the way. Altogether the 128 wheels of Dumball have raised nearly £30k, smashing our record from last year, so thank you to everyone who chipped in to make this the best Dumball yet!!
