Story
As you can see I’ve made it back safe and sound having lost a few pounds and a gained quite a few aches and pains. We’re still waiting for feeling to come back in our fingers and toes (seriously).
We.re very glad to be back at work, sat on a comfy seat and no longer on a saddle for 8 hours a day, minimum!
Everything went as well as it could be expected, no serious injuries or accidents, and not too many punctures you’ll be pleased to hear. We wouldn’t recommend cycling on the equivalent of the M56 from Barcelona Airport to the City Centre down the middle of a four lane motorway with articulated lorries either side of you, nor 196km up 1200m to the Pyrenees by star light till 1130 at night, or 214km from Portsmouth to Strafford on the A34 in pouring rain, soaked through to the bone, shivering, trying to keep the front wheel from shooting off to the side into speeding traffic. That’s the excuse for the lack of updates on Twitter and Flickr, soon to be rectified.

The Barcelona vs. Sevilla game was quality though! I can bore you with a lot more stories if you’re interested.
Thank you all for you support and donations, and for those of you who thought I wouldn’t make it I will be collecting sponsorship monies shortly. There is still time to sponsor us, donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Marina Dalglish Appeal gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now ( 1p a mile would be fantastic ) !
Thank you in advance for your support,
THE TEAM.
