In memory of Tj Smith

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

The team (Kim Smith, Nicholas Fox, James Thomson, Kerenza Knowles, Ed Knowles, Jamie Roberts, Mark Ebrey, Chris Swanson and Josh Robson) will be completing the 3 peaks on the 20th-21st July 2013 and we are hoping to raise money for Birmingham Childrens Hospital.

Every year, over 240,000 sick children from across the UK are treated at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The medical and nursing teams provide the best possible treatment and the very highest standards of care, but they wish to do so much more for the children who rely on them.  They cannot do this without your help. By supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital you will be making a real difference to the lives of thousands of children and families, when they need it most.

TJ (Kim Smith & Nick Fox's nephew) was a very special child who was diagnosed with pneumococcal meningitis at birth. He had extensive care as he was unable to hear, see, talk or walk at that stage of his life. He fell ill at the age of 2 and a half years and sadly passed away under the care of Birmingham Children's Hospital.

We hope to raise funds to support fellow families and their children who receive treatment at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
