I will be having my beautiful hair shaved to a mere 2mm. I am prepared to look like a prick on behalf of Soth East london Deaf Children bacuse i believe its for VERY good cause. I am raising the money for Deaf SELF Playscheme. This is a small charity playscheme set up for deaf children from aged 6 to 16. All of the staff members are deaf, sign language users. The cost for attending the playscheme is just £2 a day. The children get to play games, do crafts etc when not going on trips. When they go on trips, they go to the science museum,Chessingtons, swimming, bowling, various museums around London along with the staff. As all of the staff are deaf, sign language users - the deaf children have full access to all that is going on, something that many deaf children do not have at home. Hearing playschemes are not accessible for deaf children so this is a much needed set up. Fundraising is essential as the cost of attending playscheme is £2 a day which does not cover much. Many families are on low income.
