<p>I'm doing a 5k team swim in the Swimathon 2011 to raise money for The Roy Castle lung Cancer Foundation and Marie Curie Nurses!</p> <p>In January 2010 my friend Simon Goss lost his battle with Lung Cancer.</p> <p>Simon was instrumental in helping me get a foot up as a musician and songwriter - his faith in me and my music allowed me to put out my first records and take the steps I always wanted to - to becoming a fully fledged producer, musician, DJ, and everything between.</p> <p>We miss Simon every time we play a record at a Wah Wah night and in all things besides and have come up with as many ideas as possible to raise money for his chosen charity The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.</p> <p>I've been kicked into action at work to do a sponsored swim as a part of a team. It's not a massive distance - 5k team swim, so the target, money-wise is just a little one - so please donate.</p> <p>And in 4 weeks (no I haven't trained in months) on the 8th we'll be in the pool at 7am to do our 5k!</p> <p>I'm going to pick some bigger targets this year though so this is just a warm up!</p>
