Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
I cycled 510 miles from London to Edinburgh in 6 days. (6-11 May 2012). That's about 80 miles a day. The first 6 days were the toughest.
I did it with Friends of the Earth's Big Green Bike Ride - a fundraising challenge.
We had some good weather and some terrible - two days of relentless rain and a day into a stiff wind. But we had some sun and following breezes too.
Friends of the Earth is a fantastic charity (and a really good place to work). Too many successes to mention here - but for example Friends of the Earth is the main reason we have doorstep recycling and national targets for cutting climate-change emissions.
What's with the polar bear suit?
I wore a polar bear suit for part of the ride to make it a litle harder - and to raise more money. There's a video clip of the bear riding into Edinburgh on this page.
