We provide UK-wide support and information to improve life after brain injury

Story

In 1994 my Auntie Janet at the age of 50 was in intensive care for seven weeks, after being knocked down by a car. She suffered severe head injuries, and was not expected to live. Following a year in hospital, during which time someone from Headway visited her and explained about their organisation, she was discharged, being left with permanent injuries.

Headway carers arrange for her to attend their day centre three times a week and she now has many good freinds there. Headway has given her back her life. They have taught her to use a computer and she types the Headway news letter. She is also devastating at scrabble, and is involved in many other activities.

She is a very happy person, now 64 and not at all bitter about her accident.

Thank you Headway

Headway relies on voluntary donations to continue to provide vital services to brain injury survivors and their families. Headway is independent and impartial. Your gift will be used to extend their work, from producing specialist publications, establishing new local support groups to organising training workshops for social care professionals, Headway staff and volunteers.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Headway gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now. All funds will go to Headway (I will be paying my flights & accomodation)
