2010 Paris Marathon · 11 April 2010 ·

The NKF is a National charity that provides support and information to patients, families and healthcare professionals affected by kidney disease. Our aim is to improve the quality of life and support kidney patients and their families as well as lobby for renal improvements.

Story

Despite vowing never to run another marathon again mid way through the last one, I find myself looking at an acceptance e-mail for the Paris Marathon this April…I’ll obviously never learn.

Once again I’ve decided to run this event for charity and this time I am running for the National Kidney Federation.

In July, Cliff Humphries, a close friend's father, a man I knew well and greatly admired (behind me in the photo!) sadly passed away. He had been on dialysis for around 2 years and the support offered from the National Kidney Federation allowed him to lead a relatively normal life.

I am consequently running in his memory and any money raised is going to a very good cause. Any sponsorship that you could offer, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Adam.
