Story
Hey everyone
Thanks for looking up my fundraising page!
Right, I don't really know what to say on here other than I am doing a skydive to raise money for the Accord Hospice (www.accord.org.uk/). The Accord Hospice is an amazing place and does an amazing job. The reason for me raising money for the Hospice is that during the last year of my mums battle with cancer this place was the only place in the world that made her feel like a human being instead of someone that was dying. The smile on my mums face every time I went to visit her when she was there was like it was we used to laugh and play together when I was a young boy. She would jump at the chance when It came up to take restbite here and was passionate about doing something for the hospice 'if' she got better, however it was not to be. I know it has the same effect for other people facing similar difficulties. These people really need help and the Hospice is the last place on earth that some of these people will see and it need our money to keep giving help to people that are fighting terminal illness.
My mother died 8 years ago and to be honest I am pretty ashamed that I have not done anything sooner, but I am doing it now and if all goes well I plan to do something twice a year for the rest of my life to raise money for it.
I hope that you can give what you can and help give someone else's mother/father/son/daughter a nice, safe, warm and friendly place to take a break from what is happening to them and just to feel normal again.
DATE IS THE 4TH OF JULY!
Thank you for your time
