"On 1st July 2007, two elite British athletes stepped up to the start line of the World renowned Gold Coast Marathon.  Ahead of them, twenty-six miles of unrelenting tarmac flanked by the Pacific Ocean and the sprawling metropolis of Surfer's Paradise."

WE DID IT!!!  After hours of hard slog, burning hamstrings and grinding joints, we both crossed the line to record personal best times:  Fiona - 4:51, Adam - 3:44. 

Over the past 5 months we have run more than 1350 km - the equivalent of Land's End to John O'Groats and have pounded the pavements for over 130 hours, or 5.5 days continuously! 

Thank you for supporting us in our marathon endeavour and for making all the training worthwhile.  We have now beaten our fundraising target, and our desire to ever run again!! (this week).
