Amnesty International UK is movement of ordinary people standing up for humanity and human rights. Some of our campaigns includes refugees, climate change, children's rights, women's rights, and conflict-affected countries. When we unite even the smallest acts of humanity make a difference.

Story

I'm gonna run 10k in the Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield on Sunday 9th October 2011 raising money for Amnesty International who turned 50 years old this year. I've been giving to this charity for a many years now and my favourite aim of theirs is to not exist because that would mean there are no human right violations throughout the world. PROTECT THE HUMAN. So to help them stop existing please donate whatever you can spare. Times are hard but see it as an investment into your human rights.

Did this last year ill and injured without bothering to raise any money. This year I am planning on a good time (for me). Perfect time with the whole thing coming together would be 45 minutes, my current pace is about 1 hour (at time of writing two months to go) but if I can get under 50 minutes then I will consider the whole thing a success. Over that I'll consider it as a 'must try harder'. If I go over an hour then you have the right to steal all my chocolate, candy and sweets if you see me with any (but only if you've donated to this).

The JustGiving auto-template thingy --> Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
