***UPDATE***
OK we did it! Time: 4h 55m
Was a baking hot day in Brighton but great to see 60,000+ people cheering us on. Hit the wall at 17 & 22 miles - but got through the race without stopping once. Also, found out that the course was 26.7 miles (instead of 26.2) cheeky!
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for your donations.
Marie Curie looked after my Auntie Margaret just before she passed away and they deserve every penny of this £1000 - what they do is a drop in the ocean compared to what we had to go through running this. This one's for her & Marie Curie.
Bit stiff now and sunburnt but it was well worth it for that feeling crossing the finish line.
THANK YOU ALL once again.

Just under a week to go and praying for good weather. Got the most painfull massage of my life at the weekend so much so i was bruised afterwards - oh well no pain no gain.
Looking forward to it now - prepared as i can be, carbs, carbs, carbs this week gallons of water vitamins and loads of sleep... This one's for Auntie Margaret...
...............
As part of the training, we have both just completed the Sussex Beacon Half Marathon in a time of 2hours and 8 minutes. Our target was sub 2 hours, but considering the gale-force wind and heavy rain during the entire race, we didn't do too bad... Back to the training....

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have set this up as I (stupidly) signed up for the Brighton Marathon on 17 April. My brother Simon and I are training in to get ready for this ordeal; we don't want to let you all down.
I am raising money for Marie Curie, who looked after our Auntie Margaret in her final few days. I think they really deserve it after what they did for her. My brother is supporting The Martlet's Hospice in
Thanks in advance for anything you can give, no matter how small - we know how times are hard right now - but this is when these charities need your help the most.
Just think of the looks on Simon and my faces when we cross the finish line - that's gotta be worth a fiver just for that eh? Not to mention the pain we will feel the following day...!
Adam & Simon
