Story

26th April - the day after.

Well, we all finished..........which is great news. What an amazing day and what support we had from the Macmillan cheer points, it really made a difference being cheered on by such a fantastic team. Like so many other people have said of Macmillan - without them, getting through this would have been so much harder for us. So great big thanks to Macmillan for helping us every step of the way.

Official finishing times are below along with some celebrity times - Adam, sadly you were beaten by Richard Branson who was dressed as a pink butterfly and unfortunately i never saw Natalie Imbruglia or Jenny Falconer.

Jenny Falconer (GBR) 3:30:00
Noble, Matt Brian (GBR) 4:22:16
Lee Evans (GBR) 4:55:00
Rider, Steve (GBR) 6:14:57

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are thrilled to have been given an opportunity by Macmillan Cancer Support to run in the Virgin London Marathon - 25th April 2010.

Our training for this started in Sept 2008 and since then we've been taking part in a variety of insane adventure races such as:

Turbo X trail running http://www.saabsalomontrails.com/turbo-x.php - 10 miles of running through marsh, dirt and bogs!

Helly Hansen Adventure Challenge http://www.trailplus.com/helly_hansen.cfm - 25 miles on foot, bikes and kayaks, generally through marsh, dirt and bogs (there is a pattern emerging here)

Ace Races Adventure Race http://www.aceraces.co.uk/page112.asp - 20 miles of running and cycling - not too much dirt on this one, but so many hills!!

The Great Rat Race http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gj0JN0lQGRg&feature=player_embedded - (our favourite so far) - a whole weekend in the City of London, consisting of 15 miles of running and challenges on Saturday, then 45 miles on Sunday of running, cycling, kayaking, abseiling. The photo above is at the finish line on Sunday - we were amazed to be still standing!!!

We can't wait for the 26 mile jog next year and hope that you'll be able to sponsor our efforts and support to Macmillan Cancer Support.

WE'VE ALL BEEN TOUCHED BY AT LEAST ONE LIFE THAT HAS CHANGED DUE TO CANCER, SO WHATEVER YOU CAN DONATE WILL BE SO VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. (OUR EMPOYER - RUNS A MATCHING SCHEME FOR CHARITY SPONSORSHIP SO THE MORE YOU CONTRIBUTE, THE MORE THEY WILL MATCH!!!!)

Thanks in advance for all your support - Matt, Adam and James.
