We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

In June 2010, I am one of four middle-aged club cyclists taking on one of the biggest endurance challenges in the world of cycling. We will compete in the Race Across America (RAAM) and attempt to ride from one coast of America to the other (West to East) in under 7 days. Sharp4Prostate (our team) aim to raise £100,000 for Prostate cancer.

The RAAM is over 3000 miles (4800km) with 100,000ft ascent (30,500m).  It is 30% longer than the Tour de France and done in a single stage (no stops!)

It is all for a good cause - Prostate Cancer.  Prostate Cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in men and accounts for 1/4 of all male cancer cases.  75% of men survive (even so, over 10,000 men a year in the UK die).

Thanks for your support and tell your friends!
