Story

Hello

Thank you for visiting this website.

In a rare moment of bravado, I have agreed to do this:
http://www.stroke.org.uk/fundraising/fundraising_events/santa_slide.html

Yes, I am foolish enough to think that I can do a 140ft abseil for charity and not wet my knickers in public. 140ft is actually really massive – think how high a 14 storey building is. That’s big. And I’ve got to suspend myself from a bit of string with my arse in a strappy thing that makes it look like I’m wearing a nappy.

Seriously, my Grandpa died of a stroke, and ever since I have considered The Stroke Association to be ‘my charity’. They really are a good cause and do an amazing job, so if you can, please sponsor me for enduring this frightening ritual humiliation.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
