Much of RAD’s work is with Deaf people who use British Sign Language. We also work with people with all forms of deafness, including those who are hard of hearing, deafened, or deafblind. RAD enables Deaf people to have equal access to the same opportunities as hearing people. We provide interpreting services and social care. We also provide advocacy, employment and legal services, and support Deaf people from black and minority ethnic communities. We also support children, youth and families and the Deaf community as a whole by working with Deaf clubs. Most of RAD’s work is in London, the East of England and the South East. Hello!

I am supporting this charity as my brother, Andy, is profoundly deaf after he contracted meningitis in the early 80s.

Not only has he managed to overcome his disability he now actively supports the lives of many deaf people across the country through his role as Project Manager at the RAD.

3 Events in 2012

I am planning on participating in the Brighton Half Marathon, the Brighton Marathon and one other event I have not yet decided on. The Brighton Marathon will be the first marathon I have run and I am hoping to complete it in under 4 hours.
