Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On the weekend of 14th/15th June we attempted to complete the 3 peaks challenge.

This involved climbing the highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scaffell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon). The challenge was to complete all three in 24 hours!

A gruelling 23 hours and 58 minutes after setting off at the foot of Ben Nevis, we crossed the finish line in the car park at the bottom of Snowdon having successfully climbed and decended all three peaks!.

The times for each were as follows:

Ben Nevis: 5 hrs 45 minutes (took a detour on the way down!)

Scaffell Pike: 4 hrs 10 minutes

Snowdon: 4 hours 1 minute (including a two mile run at the end to get through in time)

The event was easily the hardest challenge that most of us have faced (with the exception of our leader, Eddie, who was up for doing ut again the following week)

Together we have raised over £2,300  for UCARE (OXFORD) which is much more than we anticipated and we all appreciate the generous contributions. As well as carrying out research into urological cancers, UCARE offers valuable support to individuals who have recently been diagnosed with cancer and who need someone to talk to and the funds are greatly appreciated.

Many thanks for your support.
