Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I'm raising money for When You Wish Upon A Star.

It's been a whole year since I last crawled across the finish line at the Great Manchester Run.  In that time I've "had to" give up my gym membership, done a LOT less running and "eaten well".

Despite all this I've agreed to enter the run again. I've set myself a target time of 50mins or less. The sceptical of you might say I'm getting slower in my age. I prefer to think I'm simply taking in the sights more. Regardless of my finish time, I hope agree that this charity do some incredible work and deserve your support. Please consider sponsoring me, even a small amount can make a difference.

1 city, 10KM, 31,999 atheletes, 1 grossly unfit 34 year old, 1 great reason to donate your hard earned!

The Why

When You Wish Upon A Star do fantastic work for children dealing with life changing illnesses.  You don't have to be a parent to appreciate the magic they can deliver to a child and their family.  They offer families a real opportunity to put a smile on the face of a loved one who is having to deal with an illness of affliction that no child should have to suffer. They are inspirational. View some of their work here; http://www.whenyouwishuponastar.org.uk/

Our company raises thousands of pounds each year for our nominated charity.  Last year we helped pay for an airplane full of kids to travel to Lapland to meet Santa.  The images brought back by the charity were truly moving.

The What For

I've set myself a modest target because times are tough and I genuinely appreciate it's a lot to ask.  My chosen charity really know how to make every donation count.  Something as simple as a laptop for a bedridden child can deliver hours of freedom and enjoyment.  I'd really appreciate absolutely any donations you kind souls would be willing to consider.  It genuinely makes all the blisters and stiff limbs worthwhile to be able to send funds to this fantastic charity.

Please consider giving, no matter how small, it all counts!
