Story
Hello again !!
We are after your money for macmillan cancer support. AFC Halifax are running the Jane Tomlinson "Run for all" 10K in Leeds on Sunday 4th July. 11 members of the AFC Halifax squad will be taking part and this will be the 4th year we have taken part in this superb event and believe me each year gets harder.
We started taking part in the run in memory of Sarah Thompson who sadly lost her brave fight with cancer, Sarah was the much loved wife of our player/coach David Thompson
We have also just recently lost one of our players and friends, 18 year old Johnny Bramley, after a very brave battle with cancer and we will be doing this run in his memory.
This year we have a very special guest joining us, the official FC Halifax Town mascot. The one and only Freddy the Fox !!!
This charity holds a special place in the hearts of all the AFC Halifax squad and the support we have received since we started the club in 2006 has been nothing short of incredible. We all know someone who has had their lives affected by cancer, so please get that credit or debit card out and donate, it does not matter what amount you donate as every little bit helps others.
Here are a few things that your donation could go towards.
£350
could pay for a convalescent break for someone with cancer and their carer.
£51
could buy a liquidiser for someone who can't eat solid food as a result of their cancer treatment.
£17.50
could pay for one more member of a cancer support group to go on a social event with other support group members.
Macmillan cancer support rely on our supporters for 99% of our income. Without you we couldn't provide any of our services for people living with cancer.
