I have been selected to go on a trip of a lifetime to help the YMCA in Mombasa, Kenya, Africa.  This year the team of 10 selected from both staff and residents will be converting a house that has been given to the YMCA into a guest house so the YMCA in Mombasa can generate jobs and an income which will help them be more sustainable and achieve their goal to rebuild their own head office and reach their community.  

We all know the conditions that some African's live in.  As a staff member at the Central Herts YMCA I can see the valuable work the YMCA can do to help people and I want to do my bit to see the International work of the YMCA in Kenya and their local community improved especially for those families affected by poverty and aids.
