My story
I'm doing it again !! - In 2009 I cycled through Central America from Panama, through Costa Rica & all the way to Nicaragua to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research....... In February 2013 I'm going to cycle from Nairobi to Arusha via Mombasa and around some small hill called Kilimanjaro ... !!
Covering 550km over changing terrain, Escape to Africa is billed a vigorous challenge for cyclists who prefer the road less travelled. In other words it’s off-road, uphill and undoubtedly going to be brutal.
In the last two years this indiscriminate disease has affected several people close to me. Frighteningly, statistically, one in three of us will get cancer and it’s likely to be the toughest thing most of us will ever face. If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, or a loved one has, you’ll want a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way.
Macmillan provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. With more people than ever living with cancer, Macmillan Cancer Support need your help to give them the support they need.
