Our personal message:

Happy Birthday...........everyone's thinking of you x

(28 June 2008)

To "Granny"

I've shed a million tears,

these past three years,

And with this glass of '43' I pour,

I know I'll cry a little more,

So here's to you, my lovely lady,

always needed, always ready,

To offer help, and inspiration,

a Granny's love and dedication,

Time now to seek a missing Angel,

for now I know you're finally able,

To hug and kiss and hold forever,

darling little, baby Heather

from "Dr Gerry"

UPDATE MONDAY 5 MAY 2008

A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who turned up yesterday given the appalling weather we had!! A great day was had by all and I'm sure a few people are a little sore today!!  A big thank you and congratulations also to Chelsea who ran the 10k in Edinburgh and is adding her donations to this cause.

A special thank you must go to the people of Millport who made various donations throughout the day - especially those people in the queue for the ferry and the chap wearing a white shirt in Fraser's!!

Sponsor forms will be collected sometime soon and donations added to our target.

Thank you for visiting this fundraising page.

This is in memory of Agnes Corewyn who peacefully passed away on Sunday 3 February 2008 after bravely fighting her illness for 6 months. Agnes was a very strong woman and a loving mother and grandmother - she will be sadly missed.

A sponsored bike ride (you can walk or run!!) around Millport will take place by the staff, family and friends of Family Dental Care (Jordanhill and Mosspark) on Sunday 4 May 2008. This will raise funds for Marie Curie in support of the fantastic care the nurses gave Agnes and her family during this difficult time. If you would like to take part in this event, then please let us know.

You will have to get the ferry from Largs across to Millport - they leave every 30 minutes. Please aim to be on the island for approximately 12 noon to hire your bike and then meet at the Pier next to the Royal George Hotel for 1.00pm. Here's hoping for a nice day and some sunshine!!!

People taking part so far..............those in red shown below turned up and did a great job!!!

DoreenLeon, Ferrol, Spike, Gayna and Laurie, Eleanor, Jim, Courtnay, Craig & Megan (?), Darren, Suzanne, Robbie, Lisa, Pamela, Lauren, Ashley & Jade Kelly with their mum and dad, Nicole, Robbie, Diane, Brian and Ava, Ashleigh Simpson and her friend Kirstie, Ashley Bryce and to be confirmed - Evelyn, Sean and Irene

You don't have to wait until after the event - you can begin donating now!!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
