The Community Foundation connects donors with local causes that make a real difference in Merseyside. Providing grants and support to local communities, helping them focus on building a better, stronger Merseyside.

Story

On 24th May 2012, our nephew and godson was killed in a collision on the Formby bypass. He was 21 years old.

It's impossible to explain here how devastating his death has been for his family but particularly for his Mum (Sara), Dad (Jimmy), Brother (James) and Sister (Olivia). For the rest of us, seeing them suffer has been just awful - because you know there is absolutely nothing you can do that would ease the pain.

Therefore we have decided to try and do something useful - raise some money for charity in Frazer's name. The 23 Foundation is his Mum & Dad's chosen charity and they have already raised several thousand pounds since Frazer's death. The 23 Foundation does great work for young people all over Merseyside and are a very worthy cause.

We will be running the Mersey Tunnel 10K on 9th June 2013 and are very lucky to be joined by Frazer's brother, James McCarthy with James' girlfriend, Heather Rice. Also our very good friends: Bob Bullen, Roger Megann and Andy Nolan.

All donations large and small will be very welcome. Many thanks in advance.
