Many thanks for your support. I'm leaving on 18th July 2008 to cycle around the world for a couple of years. I thought that this would be a good chance to raise some money for the street children / orphans in Kathmandu. I first visited Nepal in May 2006 when I was on a years sabbatical from work, I intended to stay for two weeks, but this turned into five months. It's fair to say that I fell in love with the country and it's people. During my time in Nepal I helped out in an Orphanage in Kathmandu and got to know some of the street kids in Pokhara. A lot of these street kids are taken from remote villages and brought to the city to work, some are sold off to families in the West. I spent a further six weeks in Nepal in Dec 07 / Jan 08 and visited the White House, Kathmandu and they are doing fantastic work reintroducing the kids back to their families. The photo's on the left side of the page are from an orphanage I visited in Kathmandu, click on them to see more of the kids your money will go towards supporting.
