Story
Girls and boys I need your support!
Why am I running for Christies? My Grandad was diagnosed with cancer of the bowel. After overcoming this, a growth was the found on his liver. Having undergone numerous operations at North Manchester General, he faced intense chemotherapy at Christies in Manchester. Ten years to this day, my Grandad is fit, healthy and well and one reason for this is Christies and their fantastic work. I’m running in celebration of my Grandad and to say thank you to Christies.
The Challenge!
On the September 19th I will be running 13.1 miles. Having done the race before, I know it isn’t going to be easy (it’s a bit of a steep course!) but in my opinion, two and a half hours of pain is nothing compared to what a cancer patient has to go through. You can be part of my Great North Run and support me by helping me reach my £400 target.
Training has already commenced and you can track my progress by following me on my Facebook page.
Many thanks you lovely, lovely people. Aim x
