Aire Valley Vikings Leeds to Liverpool Canoeing Challenge 2013! · 13 March 2013

Leeds Cancer Centre, part of the Leeds Cares family, diagnoses and treats cancer for the people of Leeds and the Yorkshire region. It is one of the largest cancer centres in the UK and provide some of the most up-to-date treatment, care and support for people with cancer.

The Aire Valley Vikings- also known as Mike Holdsworth, Mark Gray, Phil Arnett and Jamie Sampler- are raising money for the Yorkshire Cancer Centre by canoeing the 127 miles from Liverpool to Leeds!

The Vikings have been in training since January for this adventurous trip from Liverpool to Leeds and have been commited to hard training twice a week and paddling a minimum of 10 miles in each training session. 

The Vikings have never Kayaked before and have paid for all training and equipment of of their own monies to maximise funds raised for the Yorkshire Cancer Centre. 

The Vikings are setting out from Liverpool on Monday the 23rd of September and  to return to Leeds at 13:00 on Friday the 27th at Knostrop lock, Aire Valley Homes head office, 8 George Mann Road, Leeds, LS10 1DJ.

Dig deep and support this amazing challenge for this amazing charity, the Vikings have given it their all to make this happen.
