London 2 Paris - (London 2 Makkah) · 1 July 2017 to 2 July 2017 ·
A team of cyclists will endure the once in a lifetime opportunity to cycle from London to Makkah. The journey will take over 56 days covering over a 100 miles a day and passing through 16 countries.
OK, so I'm only doing the first leg of the ride, London to Paris, but thats still 180 miles over 2 days! Travel, accommodation and food is self-funded as the aim is to raise as much money and awareness for the children of the world campaign which encompasses all the vulnerable children projects in the world.
Street Children – Bangladesh & Pakistan
Muslim Charity have rescued over 1,000 children from the streets of Bangladesh and reunited over 200 with their families. These children have been abandoned by their parents or have been trafficked into the most unspeakable situation including bonded labour and the sex trade.
The project also works with vulnerable children who have no choice but to work in hazardous conditions in back alley factories and rubbish dumps. Our project rescues these children with an aim to send them to mainstream schools while helping their families.
Children of War – Syrian Children
Children as young as 5-6 have been exposed to the horrors of war, death and destruction. Some have lost all family members and traveled from Syria to Lebanon with strangers.
These children are supported through our orphan sponsorship program which supports their education, clothing, shelter and food.
Muslim Charity have also included psychosocial support as part of their treatment and rehabilitation from the deep trauma they have suffered during the war.
